Costa Palmas is a master-planned resort community of roughly 600 hectares (1,500 acres) in La Ribera, on the East Cape of Baja California Sur, developed by U.S. firm Irongate (Jason Grosfeld) through the Mexican entity Desarrolladora La Ribera, S. de R.L. de C.V. Its portfolio includes the Four Seasons Resort & Residences, Aman/Amanvari, the marina and village, and Casa Blake. The project has been evaluated by SEMARNAT in fragmented stages since 2006-2008 and faces reported disputes over Arroyo Santiago channelization and overlapping federal-zone fishing concessions near Cabo Pulmo National Park; verify regulatory status before purchase.
